Green Bay Packers Offseason Transactions - 2026

By Tanner Ostrowski

March 23rd, 2026: According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, Green Bay re-signed defensive end/linebacker Arron Mosby. He is an important piece for the Packers’ special teams unit, as he was one of their top players. This also provides depth for the team’s defense. Overall, it is a decent signing.

March 13th, 2026: According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Carolina Panthers signed former Packers’ offensive tackle Rasheed Walker. The deal is for one year and $10 million. Walker likely signed this deal because there was not much interest in his services. He is looking to do well this upcoming season, so he has a better chance of signing a more lucrative contract in 2027. Meanwhile, this does not impact Green Bay as much. They already have an offensive tackle replacement in former 2024 1st round pick Jordan Morgan, who has been waiting to showcase his talents.

March 13th, 2026: The Green Bay Packers re-signed three of their exclusive rights free agents. Those players are wide receiver/cornerback Bo Melton, cornerback Kamal Hadden, and offensive lineman Donovan Jennings. These are important signings as these players provide depth to the team, and that is essential for every franchise in the NFL. It should be noted that they did not sign offensive lineman Lecitus Smith yet, who is their last exclusive rights free agent.

March 12th, 2026: According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, ex-Packers’ backup running back Emanuel Wilson signed a deal with the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. It is for one year and worth $2.1 million. He will help the Seahawks greatly as he proved to be a dependable running back time and time again. This was an expected loss, as Green Bay signed running back Chris Brooks to be their backup running back because of his pass-protection prowess.

March 11th, 2026: According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Miami Dolphins signed away one of the Packers’ best special teams players in safety Zayne Anderson. The move hurts Green Bay’s special teams unit, and the third phase is now weakened due to Anderson leaving.

March 11th, 2026: The Green Bay Packers signed defensive tackle Javon Hargrave away from one of their rivals, the Minnesota Vikings. The deal is worth $23 million over two years, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Hargrave might be older, but he was still great at rushing the quarterback last year per Next Gen Stats and Pro Football Focus. He should be a menace on the field and that is a massive win for Green Bay.

March 11th, 2026: The Packers re-signed defensive tackle Jonathan Ford to a one-year deal, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Green Bay made the move for depth purposes on the defensive line. Ford is not an impressive signing. Overall, he has a low-floor and low-upside.

March 11th, 2026: Bill Huber from Sports Illustrated reported that Green Bay re-signed tight end Josh Whyle. He is a good depth piece and has shown that he is capable of playing when needed. It is a decent signing, especially with fellow tight ends Tucker Kraft recovering from a torn ACL and Luke Musgrave seemingly injury-prone.

March 11th, 2026: Green Bay re-signed edge rusher Brenton Cox Jr. according to his agents Adie von Gontard and Ray Haija, who work for YMAPAA Sports. Schefter also reported the agreement. Cox Jr.’s deal is for one year and worth $2.5 million. The Packers keep a rotational edge rusher who was excellent when rushing the opposing quarterback during his limited time on the field. And not only is he a designated pass rusher, but he has the potential to become a full-time player who shows the ability to play on all three downs due to the lack of depth at the position. Overall, this is an underrated signing by the team.

March 10th, 2026: March 10th, 2026: The Packers signed wide receiver Skyy Moore to a one-year deal per Jordan Schultz on X. The primary reason for this move was because Moore is an above-average punt and kick returner. Green Bay desperately needed this, as their special teams unit struggled in the return game last year. Moore has a chance to become a game-changer.

March 10th, 2026: Green Bay’s former wide receiver, Romeo Doubs, signed with the New England Patriots for four years and somewhere around $70 million, according to Rapoport. The Patriots overvalued Doubs, and there was no way the Packers were willing to meet that contract. The deal averages $17.5 million a year and is likely too much for the Packers’ budget.

March 10th, 2026: According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Green Bay released cornerback Nate Hobbs as a post-June 1st cut. Hobbs also had a decent-sized contract, and he did not meet the expectations set for him due to injuries and his horrible performances on the field. The release saved $8.8 million on the salary cap starting on June 2nd, according to Spotrac. Hobbs’ release might let cornerback Benjamin St-Juste jump into the starting lineup.

March 10th, 2026: Green Bay signed cornerback Benjamin St-Juste for two years and $10 million, per Rapoport. He is a good backup for the cornerback room; and if one of the starters were to be injured during this upcoming season, he could step in. He has started many games throughout his career, so his experience will be valuable to the cornerback room.

March 9th, 2026: Linebacker Kristian Welch re-signed with the Packers, according to Welch’s agent, Ryan Hays, who made the initial announcement on Instagram. Welch is a special teams player and is one of the team’s best for the third phase. Green Bay needs as many good special teams players as they can get. Special teams has been a weakness for years, so the franchise must do its best to improve the unit.

March 9th, 2026: Per Schefter, the Las Vegas Raiders signed former Green Bay Packers linebacker Quay Walker. The deal is worth $40.5 million over three years. Walker used to play a huge part in the Packers defense, but the franchise could not afford to keep him because he was out of their price range.

March 9th, 2026: According to Schefter, the Packers released offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins. He had been good for several years. However, last season was an exception due to a position change, going from left guard to center. His injury also played a role in his release. As a result, Green Bay has freed up $19.5 million in cap space for this upcoming season. This gave the team more salary cap space. Now, they might be able to sign a few players and it gives them much more comfort room in terms of being under the salary cap.

March 9th, 2026: Green Bay has re-signed offensive lineman Darian Kinnard to a one-year deal worth $3.75 million, per Pat McAfee. Kinnard’s return is good, as he provides stability and can play both right and left tackle when needed. Overall, he is a good backup who provides necessary depth to keep the offensive line afloat.

March 9th, 2026: One of the top backup edge rushers for the Packers, Kingsley Enagbare, signed with the New York Jets to a one-year deal worth $10 million, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. This is a big loss for Green Bay, as they must go out and find another edge rusher. However, $10 million seems like a lot to pay for a backup, and the Packers could not afford that due to their salary cap limitations.

March 9th, 2026: Former Green Bay Packers backup quarterback, Malik Willis, signed with the Miami Dolphins. The deal is for three years and is worth $67.5 million to become their next starting quarterback, per Rapoport. This was widely expected to happen, so this did not greatly impact the Packers plan for free agency or the NFL draft.

March 9th, 2026: The Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys agreed to a deal that sent defensive lineman/edge rusher Rashan Gary to the Cowboys for a 2027 4th Round pick, per Rapoport. This is unbelievable value for a player that showed almost nothing on the football field this past year and likely would have been released. The Packers won this trade by a huge margin.

March 8th, 2026: According to Rapoport, Green Bay re-signed center Sean Rhyan to a three-year, $33 million deal, with its potential max value set at $39 million. While he has been one of the Packers better centers in the past few years, this could be a huge overpay for someone who only played center for less than an entire season. The Packers hope he can develop as their future, full-time center for years to come considering the limited time he had spent at the position.

March 7th, 2026: Per Huber, the Packers re-signed linebacker Nick Niemann, who is one of their most important special teams players. It is a one-year deal, and he is a solid signing by Green Bay, as they retain a player who gives it his all for the third phase of the game.

March 7th, 2026: According to Rapoport, the Packers traded away their defensive tackle Colby Wooden in exchange for Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin, who will likely replace linebacker Quay Walker. Franklin has very high upside, as evidenced by the past few years, with the exception of last season. Meanwhile, the Packers dumped Wooden, who has underperformed for several years. Green Bay won this trade by far.

March 4th:, 2026 The team re-signed restricted free agent running back Chris Brooks, according to the agency that represents him, One West Sports Group. The deal is worth $4.85 million over two years. He played an important part on the team as their backup running back last year. He is a good pass protector when needed and has shown the ability to produce when on the field. This is a very underrated signing.
